Sorry for the lack of updates

Sept 14 -15: There will be brief outages on Friday and Saturday while network upgrades are done in Calgary. These outages are expected to be brief but could be as long as 15 to 20 minutes. We thank you for your patience while these changes are made

August 3/07: All equipment on the Jenner tower has now been replaced. If you are serviced from the Jenner Tower, please let us know if  your connections have improved.

July 30/07: There are currently ongoing interference problems causing slow downs off the Jenner tower. Technicians are working on alleviating the trouble. This is still an ongoing, open issue.

Fixed July 13/07: The power supply problem has been repaired as of 7:30 pm . Thank-you for your patience.

July 13/07: The main power supply for the 900 meg Radios on the Brooks Tower went down at 3:30 pm. Technicians are trying to fix the problem but may have to order in new parts. We will keep this site updated with the latest news.

Fixed July 12/07: The new Mail Server is installed. If you have any problems please call us right away. Thank-you for your patience through these last few weeks.

July 10/07:  The new hardware is in and we will be implementing the changes over the next couple of days. Intermittent outages may be experienced while this is going on, but we will try to keep the outages as brief as possible.

June 22 / 07:  Mail server problems. Over the last few days there has been ongoing troubles on the Email server. This appears to be hardware related and will take some time to repair. By time, we mean it may take weeks to bring in new equipment and configure it for the network. If you are having trouble sending emails you may have to obtain an address from Hotmail or another web based email site to use for your outgoing mail. We are sorry for this inconvenience and are trying to facilitate the repairs as fast as we can

Fixed April 2-5/07:  The Bassano Tower will under go upgrades this week to all the sector antennas. Both 900meg and 5.7 gig frequencies  will be affected. Work will begin once the weather allows and will last most of a day. New and additional higher gain antennas are being installed to improve the over all signal quality of our Bassano customers.

FIXED DEC 19/06 4:30 pm: Connections yesterday evening from approximately 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm were affected by issues upstream of Calgary. All of the available feeds were affected beyond our network.

Fixed Dec 18th: Rolling Hills tower is down due to a power outage. Connections will be restored after the power comes back on at approximately 12:30pm.

FIXED DEC 12/06 1:14pm: Bassano all frequencies are experiencing connection outages due to a feed problem. Techs are working on the problem and should be fixed soon.

Not so Gentle Warning: There are two or three worms making the rounds that have infected a few of our clients. If you do not have anti-virus software, then get it. If you do, then please update it and run it. These are slowing down the entire EIDNet system, so if we find it, we will make our best attempt to reach you before we shut your connection off, but some we have not been able to contact beforehand.

FIXED DEC 6/06 12:27 pm: Brooks VL ( those with the black Alvarion unit on the inside) connections have been fluctuating since this morning. Outages and slow downs are occurring.

Fixed Dec 3 06: Rolling Hills 900 MHz connections have been having fluctuating since Saturday 11 am.  

FIXED November 27/06 status as of 9:00 am. Duchess 900 MHz sector has had fluctuating connections since Saturday evening. .

FIXED November 24/ 06 All of the Rosemary tower is down until technicians get on site and make repairs. This may cause slowdowns on Duchess and Patricia while traffic is re-routed.

Fixed November 23/06 Rosemary 900 MHz system was down for approximately 45 minutes. Technicians made repairs and all connections should be back up.

Completed November 22/ 06. Channel changes on the 900 MHz system ( those with the White Breeze Access Radio Modems) may cause further fluctuations in speed today.

FIXED Since November 10, 2006. Slowdowns are occurring for most customers on Brooks, Gem, Duchess and Rosemary with the White Breeze Access radio modems. If you are experiencing speed problems, please call 362-1420 and leave a message with your name, location and whether the speed problems are constant or fluctuating. 

Current- Fixed November 14 2006. Scandia tower was down due to equipment malfunction causing all 900 customers off that tower to lose connection. Repairs have been made and all connections should be back up 

Fixed November 12-13, 2006. Connections on Rosemary, Duchess, Patricia, Tilley, Scandia, Rainier, Rolling Hills, Bantry, Cassils were down for Sunday night from 8pm-3pm due to an unforeseen failure.
