LIBRARY SERVICES
Interlibrary Loans..... All materials in the Shortgrass database are available to patrons within the system free of charge. There is a twice weekly van service to ensure prompt delivery. Materials can also be obtained from outside the system through ILL.
Book Return..... A book return is located outside the main entry for returning materials when the library is closed.
Directories and Calanders..... Telephone books, specialised directories and university calendars are available for reference. .
Equipment Rentals.....8mm, 16mm, slide, overhead projectors, cassette players, cameras, screens and record players are available to rent on a daily basis.
Programming..... Preschool Storytime, class tours, shut-in delivery service, Senior's tea, Summer FUNtastic Reading Program, Family Fun Nights and much more. You are invited to phone for more information concerning our programs.
Telephone Service..... Materials can be renewed, reference questions answered or items ordered by telephone.
Talking Books..... Cassette recordings are available for the physically, visually or perceptually handicapped at no charge.
International Books.....Books in a variety of languages are available upon request.
Large Print Books.....Large print books are available to those with sight problems.
Microfilms.....The library has 2 microfiche readers and 2 microfilm readers for public use at no charge.
Laminating.....The library will laminate posters and documents for a nominal fee.
Audio Cassettes..... Country, rock, popular, folk, classical, inspirational and children's music is available for your listening pleasure.
Videos..... The Library has a selection of children's videos, family videos, educational videos, travelogues, old movie classics and Shakespearean plays for loan.
Compact Discs.....Classical, country, rock, popular, folk, show tunes, inspirational, jazz and children's CDs are available.
Job Searching.....A Canada Employment job search kiosk is available for use.
Public Use Computers.....The Library has 4 computers for public use with access to Microsoft Works, Word Perfect 6.0, CD Roms and the Internet. A nominal fee is charged for the internet service.
