TROUT !!Brooks Fly Fishing  Club

"Some Fishin Pictures"

Some of our members and guests have been pursuing fish of all descriptions and sizes all over the place. Have a look at the images below. If they look like fun get a hold of us and join us, we would welcome the company.

 Clive and his Salmon ???
This is Clive's Salmon trip and No, he did not catch it on a bead head black mink !!!  "FUNNY LOOKING SALMON"

Jeff from Alanta

Photo of our guest, Jeff from Atlanta,  smiling all the way about the minnow he has just caught and saying "It's a dirty job but someone has to do it".  Great to have had him here and hopefully he will return.

The battle goes on Alan's first pike

One of our newest members, Alan, attending our pike fishing clinic and catching his first pike on a fly rod.  The grin says it all and we think that because of the introduction to fly fishing, Alan's sense of being on time is going to suffer badly.  Also has the makings of a good sunburn eh !

Alan with a BIG pike, so Grasslands pay UP ! Who says August is too hot for catching BIG PIKE.  Have a look at this minnow that Alan is holding.  OK, as a special treat for those fellows at the Grasslands Maintence Department, time to get your wallets out and let the moths out and pay UP.  The boss has got you all .
Nick in float tube  You can see that not all of our members are "BIG" guys.  Our youngest member, Nick about 10 years old, was also in attendance at our Pike Clinic and also catching fish.  His comment to his fishing buddy "DAD", "we got to get a float tube"

Another member Kiyoshi had the privilege of going out to Babine Norlake resort for some fishing the last week of May.
Here is their comment about his antics from their internet newsletter.

Kiyoshi Kimura of Alberta

Kiyoshi had a banner three and one half days fly fishing the famous Rainbow Alley. He won't forget this trip for a life time! He
landed every species of trout available; rainbow, cutthroat, lake trout, bull trout, whitefish and steelhead! Yes, he landed a 34
inch steelhead kelt, and a ten pound lake trout in the alley! He also landed a couple of 4 and 5 pound bull trout. The fry fishing
was hot and heavy most of the time, and he took advantage of the northern late nights to fish until 11 PM every night. All fish
were released carefully, pictures taken except for the steelhead kelt.

KK's trip of a life time    This is a picture from the lodge of one of KK's smaller rainbow trout about 22".  Unfortunately the guide released accidentally the Steelhead before pictures were taken.  It jumped overboard. Guide is suppose to send sworn statement.

Nigel's Trout Not all Big trout are from exotic locations. This is Nigel's trout caught at our local stocked fishing pond. Since there is only one pond locally you will have to guess the location. It was caught using a trolled fly about the last week of May.  Weight is 8 1/2 pounds.  A REAL NICE FISH. CONGRATULATIONS NIGEL.
