British Isles Research Group

 The British Isles research group will be meeting in the Family Research Centre of the Brooks LDS church on Wednesday 21, 2007 at 7:00 p.m..

 AGS Conference 2007

There will be a conference in Edmonton on April the 21 & 22, 2007. For further information one should log onto the AGS web site at www.abgensoc.ca and look under AGS Conference 2007. 

I would suggest that anyone that is interested in Genealogy should consider going to the conference. They have excellent speakers and it is also a good time to meet other people interested in genealogy. 

If you don't have access to a computer please contact the webmaster or one of the other executives to receive a syllabus or a registration form. If you are interested one should not wait to long as the conference fills up fairly quickly and the areas you are interested in  may not be available. 

 Salt Lake Trip to Family Research Centre

 AGS is planning a trip to Salt Lake City for members that want to do research in the Family Research Centre. The trip is from Oct 28th to Nov 4th of 2007. The trip leaves from Edmonton and they are flying directly to Salt Lake City, however if you are not able to fly from Edmonton you are still able to take advantage of the hotel bookings. My understanding is that if you want to make your own arrangements to get their you can still book the rooms through AGS. If you are interested in booking the complete trip or just the rooms you should get a whole of Norma Wolowyk at AGS, her e-mail address is nwolowyk@compusmart.ab.ca.
