Use Outlook Express for EIDNet Email

What You will need to do this:
An EIDNet email account, username and password ( If you do not already have these please call 362-1401). A computer that is connected to the internet. Outlook Express 6. 


-Click Start Button – On bottom left hand side of screen .

-Click "All Programs"

-Click "Outlook Express  "

- Outlook Express window will open.

- On the top menu bar Click "Tools"
- Click "Accounts"

- The Internet Accounts window will open. Click the "Add" Button on the right side and select "mail" from the menu. 

-Internet  Connection Wizard window will open
-Fill in your full name as you want others to see it
-Click the "Next >" Button

-Fill in your full email address
-Click the "Next >"  Button

-Select the “POP3” Option in the "My incoming mail server is a "  drop down box
-Type ‘pop.eidnet.org’ in the "Incoming server textbox"
-Type in ‘smtp.eidnet.org’ in the "Outgoing server textbox"
Click the "Next >" Button

-Type your username in the Account Name textbox ( This is your email addy without the' @eidnet.org' part)
-Type your password in the Password textbox
-Make sure that the remember password checkbox is checked and the Log on using Secure Password  Authentication is NOT checked.
-Click “Finish” Button

You will be returned to Internet Accounts window.  Click the properties button over on the right hand side. Select the "servers" tab up at the top. Make sure that the "log on using secure password Authentication" is NOT checked. and that the "my server requires authentication" IS checked. Click on "OK"

Click "Close" Button

You should now be in the main Outlook Express window. Click the "Send and Receive Button" on the upper left hand corner.
