Dear EIDNet Subscriber,

It has been over thirteen years since the Eastern Irrigation District started the EIDNet as a way to provide affordable internet services to residents of the County of Newell and we would like to extend our most sincere appreciation to each of you for supporting us throughout these years.  During this time, our customer base has expanded and technology has allowed us to branch out to high-speed wireless internet services. Unfortunately, these same changes have also left us unable to upgrade our current dial-up service. This, combined with the large migration of customers to high-speed services, has led the EIDNet to announce that it will be terminating all Dial-up internet services effective November 30th , 2008.   Any customers that currently have accounts that extend past this date will have that money refunded or transferred to a wireless account if requested. We regret any inconveniences this may cause and will try to assist our customers in any change-overs they wish to make. 

Our wireless product is available in almost all areas of the county. Please review the enclosed high-speed wireless coverage map to see if you currently can be serviced. Then, if you’re interested in converting your residence or business to the high-speed wireless service, please contact us at 362-1401. We’ll be pleased to answer any questions regarding the high-speed wireless service. The installation / equipment charge for a standard residential installation is $400 which includes the antenna mounted on your house, the cabling run into the house and the adio or connecting block that is placed inside the house for you to plug into. The monthly cost is $40 for a regular residential account or $25 for those users who have 1st water rights within the EID. Business accounts are also available. All accounts are plus G.S.T. and for a one year minimum contract. Further information can be obtained by calling our office at 362-1401 or visiting our website at www.eidnet.org. 

For those customers who would rather remain on dial-up service, the only option is Telus. They have plans from $12.95 to $25.95 per month. Further information can be found by going to their web address, www.telus.com or by calling 310-2255.
